The girl in the love triangle between Duran and his cousin Jubal

A girl of the Carin tribe, Trina was the love interest of both Duran and his cousin Jubal. She favored one, then the other, playing the two off each other. When Duran killed his cousin and then fled, Trina was appalled. She quickly found herself under the caring wing of Duran’s aunt, Hilia, who encouraged Trina to turn her eyes to Hilia’s son, Marek, who now had become Chief Lares’ heir with the loss of Jubal and the disgrace of Duran’s family.
