The next couple of days were spent buying what they needed to run their house. Foodstuffs and cooking equipment, lighting and cleaning tools, buying and piling firewood, setting up a daily delivery for more. Eating utensils, cups, mugs and goblets, tea and wine and juice. They bought breads in the morning, vegetables in the afternoon and meats close to suppertime. The first night required a trip to the Gilded Goose, but the second night they managed an edible meal, even if it wasn’t terribly delicious. A couple days were spent starting a garden for herbs and small vegetables.
And then one night, Bryan dumped out the contents of his haversack and discovered something he had completely forgotten. “Hey, we have some more stuff to sell.”
